So you want to win $1,000,000? Read this 🧵on @riftersio. Not your typical #P2E on #Solana... or #Ethereum... or #Polygon...
"you musn't be afraid to think a little bigger darling"
I was taught in journalism school to invert that pyramid and hit 'em with the WIIFM. So if $1M get's you jacked up then we'll want to start with the economics.
After that keep reading on for gameplay mechanics and strategy to help you actually win the prize. You're welcome.
7,777 Exile NFTs were minted for 10 $SOL on Oct. 3rd. You can pick one of these up to play the game at @MagicEden. If the floor price scares you, and it might, bc the real valuable NFTs are selling for many multiples of the mint don't worry, read on...
So? How did the mint go and how is the project progressing? Let's talk about that for a minute before you spend any of your precious time reading about something unless it's worth your time.
• Ranked in the top 20 on NFT Stats Top Collections
• Biggest mint since @y00tsNFT
There have been dozens of sales since mint for 100+ SOL with a few over 300 SOL and one auction to top them all at 750 SOL 👀
Do I have your full attention yet?
If you own an Exile, you will want to stake it to earn diamonds. Staking it also opts you into the next upcoming launch on the Ethereum blockchain for your choice of an $ETH NFT airdrop or 10 SOL.
Diamonds are a key to success in the realm of Kalinvale, the first of many world events, each of which will carry their own $1,000,000 prize.
As you play the browser based game, you will gain items some of great strength others that are rather common.
In order to make these items transferable and sellable on @MagicEden 👋 you'll have to "mint" them using Diamonds. You can earn diamonds by staking your Exile, winning prizes in Discord or Twitter, being granted them by Demigods (such as @ca0928), or through PvE campaigns.
That may seem like there are a lot of ways to accrue diamonds and that is partially true, however, if you take the cost of minting a Legendary item it would take you 67 days of continuous staking with an Exile and the first event is expected to last anywhere from 90 - 180 days.
The best chance of winning the $1M is to join forces with a clan or with a faction and pool resources, intel, and work strategically. This isn't just a browser based game, there are elements brought in through social interactions on Discord and Twitter that may prove perilous.
You will have to navigate through the realm of Kalinvale, avoid death, or not and get resurrected, conquer each of the 6 Adventure zones in order to make it to the lair of the Rift Lord where certain death awaits you.
Will you need to devote your entire life to this? No.
Can I compete with whales? Yes.
Your character starts with base energy that allows for 20 minutes of gameplay every 8 hours. This along with diamonds being locked to the NFT that earns them levels the playing field.
What is the best way to use this energy?
That depends on the type of character you hold... do you own a common Exile? They are quite weak to begin with so PvP is unwise. You'll want to adventure and utilize PvE to gain powerful items.
Are you part of a DAO?
Follow the horde!
Other than the 49 Legendary characters, which I won't go into in much depth here, there are basically four types of Exiles: Common, Deathless, Ethereal, and Champion.
OK, I lied, and the 1/1 Exile King who is the strongest playable character. 😅
Deathless have an uncanny knack for not dying, this makes them ideal for earning lots of diamonds in PvP.
Ethereal are rewarded with 2x diamond production for staking and a heavy boost to their Insight stat, which allows them to glean important information others cannot see.
Champions are the strongest of the Exiles, but they are also more prone to death if they are defeated. There is a greater risk of death in PvP, but if you are victorious you'll be set for diamonds for a LONG time.
If you are risk averse go earn in PvE with these.
Within PvP there are also ways to earn if you hold one of the faction NFTs without risking death. You can "watch" the PvP battles and if your DAO wins you'll be rewarded with diamonds too.
So what can you do with those new items you won now that you’ve minted them? Go sell them on @MagicEden or perhaps your DAO would find it valuable and you can make other arrangements within your faction.
What happens if you die? Game over? Nahhh, that wouldn’t be any fun.
You can get resurrected by engaging with the Legendary characters such as the Necromancer, for a fee of course!
Your Exile will continue to earn diamonds while dead, so long as the NFT is staked, and he can return as a powerful Monstrosity for the cost of 12 Dark Sol Runes.
What is DSR? Where do I get it? And what else can it do?
You can buy it for SOL on FFF "Famous Fox Federation". It is also earned by competing in Discord and completing various pop-up tasks.
Legendaries emit DSR every week as well.
This sounds awesome, can I play yet? Sort of… the full game launches in just a few days, but for now enjoy this mini-game.
Best of luck in your adventures and may you be victorious in defeating the Rift Lord!
